Pre-Order - stock Limit?

Best Buy, Radio Shack, and EVP are all taking pre-orders for the phones..but, is there a stock limit that they stop taking pre-orders at? It seems like there is no limit to the number of pre-orders being taken..surely there's gotta be a limit that each place is going to get...

I would hope that since some where handed out today at the Google convention that we might see ours sooner than later. Maybe just wishful thinking on my part.

yep, its for that reason i ordered overnight shipping on both of my evo's....hopefully i'll get them sooner then later....my rep said i'll get a order confirmation once its been shipped....so i should know more once i get that.

My guy said he had 42 pre-order slots left.
Yikes, is that nationwide? or just that office.

All of my information was already in their system so no credit check and they are just charging it to my bill.
No doubt, but I am left wondering about eligibility date.

I have been eligible since February so there was no trouble there, not sure if they can do anything as far as helping to bump yours up or not but it's worth a shot. They have a chat option on evpdiscount.com that was pretty helpful, I bet they could help you out more.

I was told at best buy that the # of pre orders they get is the # of phones they will get on june 4th plus like 5 or 10 extra for stock purposes. So like a couple days before june 4th they will tell sprint how many preorders they got. so say they have 50 pre-orders by june 1st. their gonna put in that order, & sprint will send them like 65 phones. The ppl who pre-order last minute, their phones will come out of that extra inventory and whatever is left, if any, is what they will have in stock.

I don't think sprint would put so much into this phone and then only release so many of them. I was told when I pre-ordered from BB that everyone that pre-ordered would get a phone. I also called RS and they told me the same thing. Now on the other side if you don't pre-order, then wait a few days to get yours then you might be out of luck.

I was told the same thing, but got some disturbing qualifications to that yesterday when I was at Best Buy. Since I was there, I decided to check up on the Evo sitch and the guy told me that yes, if you pre-order, you are guaranteed a phone but NOT on the first day. You will get one, but if you miss the first go round, you will have to wait till they get subsequent shipments. I'm glad I went and pre-ordered on the first day, and I sure as hell hope I'm getting my Evo on day one!

How is that different from getting one as a walk-in then?

Let's say they get 100 pre-orders, but the first shipment only has 50 Evos. The first 50 people on the list get their Evos.
The second shipment has 30 Evos, the next 30 people get their Evos.

And so on and so forth.

But if you aren't on the pre-order list, you don't get one until all of the people who pre-ordered do. :/

Much like regular Sprint, the chat is never on line when i go to their sites.
But I'll keep trying. Thanks

I was told the same thing at Best Buy! However, Radio Shack said they wont be gettin any extra at all, just what they put in for the pre-order.
