Hey all,

So is this the biggest / most active HTC Legend community?

It seems pretty quiet with the odd new thread created everyday; am I missing another forum/hot spot?

Coming from a Palm Pre, I've learnt how powerful an active community can be with loads of tips/tricks/fixes/suggestions being shared, but it seems a little quiet around here.

Maybe there aren't many Legend users due to the ugly big brother, the Desire.

I should think that the fact the forum appears quiet is infact testiment to HTC and the Legend. I recall my first android handset the Samsung Galaxy (i7500)! That phone was a Dog and in my opinnion not fit for purpose and should never have made it out the door at Samsung and I can truly say that for me and many others Samsung along with the carrier o2 will forever be tarnished for that experience! From day1 there was an out pouring of disgruntlement from customers who had signed up for hefty contracts and received a handset with a never ending catologue of problems the very first being that the phone came packaged with software that was in no way compatible with the handset and the list went on. It certainly wasn't quiet thats for sure just pop over to the Galaxy threads to get an idea of just how poor that handset was. In the end I sold mines on Ebay and bought a Hero before my Legend and I've never looked back!

I've had my Legend for around 2months. Well, I admit I chose this device over the more Powerful phones like the desire, mainly because of looks.

The Legend while looks good, it isn't as powerful as the Desire, and the fact that the desire is HTC's new flagship model may explain why the Legend forums is quite quiet.
Also, didn't they announce the Desire close to the Legend? People were probably like....mmm, nice Legend....wow Snapdragon ectetc Desire!!

in short- there probably is no Legend dedicated forum, because the Legend IS an unpopular device, shadowed by the snapdragons and others.

but I still love my Legend. It's enough for my needs lol.

anyways, the Legend can handle anything on the OS except some of the power sucking games like Asphalt 5/Raging Thunder 2. So the extra few Mhz on the stronger devices are only for gaming needs.

Haters gonna hate- I hate HTC's chins >_<

Don't forget, much of what's on the Desire's forum is also applicable to the Legend, so it's worth keeping an eye on that too...

Yes, almost everything so feel free to wander in there to look around, but prob best to keep legend questions here. You might also like to read teh desire tips sticky thread as virtually everything mentioned in there can be applied to your phone (even the extra apps links)

anybody know how i can move the apps to the SD card to avoid the memory decrease? Also quick question, I use Missing Sync for my Legend and my MAC but I can't seem to see the "All Day" events.

Point #1: You can't do this unless you root the phone. As is, apps only will run from internal memory. Android 2.2 might have this feature out-of-the-box but we'll have to wait and see if Legend actually gets 2.2.

Yeah, it's a bit disappointing that there's not much a dev community, but for the most part, it's always been the high-end enthusiast devices that have gotten most of the attention, and probably with good reason.

On the other hand, I'm very happy with the function and performance of the Legend. Every other device I've had, I've gone and tinkered because there was something that was missing or insufficient. Not so (yet) with the Legend.

All I await is a Froyo upgrade. That would be nice, if HTC gets around to it.
