9ft Evo 4G Compatible HDMI Cable less than $10

*edit*
Don't purchase this cable just yet. There's still confusion about which HDMI cable type to order

I started scoping the interwebs for accessories for my Evo 4G and came across this site selling the HDMI type A to HDMI type D cable that's compatible with the Evo 4G for less than $10. The kicker is the cable is 9ft long -- the longest cable I've found for the least amount.

If you have a large HDTV chances are you'll need a longer cable than 3ft. Check it out.

*edit* Thanks RedWingsFan -- still found a similar great deal on Amazon for the same low price!

I'm just wondering how often I'll actually want to hook up my phone to my HDTV and if it would be worth it. Hopefully down the road there are more and more reasons to hook it up to a TV, but as of right now, I don't see myself using it all that often.

I envision converting my dvd's over to h.264 to be kept on my EVO for long trips and for the kids in the car.. and that would play well for keeping a dvd library on a 32gb chip (which go for pretty cheap on ebay) and playing them to the TV wherever I go

Same here but I bought a cable anyway.

What video formats it can play will have a big role in determining when I would actually use it.

I keep the kid's DVDs on my iPod touch. I have a cable that runs from the iPod to the car headrest for long trips. I'd rather keep my phone mine and let the kids play with the kiddie toys (iPod Touch).

Guess I'll be canceling the first order. Thanks RedWinds... I fixed the OP with another deal I found on Amazon if anyone else is interested in ordering cables.

That one is a mini also. You need a Type D MicroHDMI. Not many suppliers out there yet.

If you can find a cheap 32gb micro SD somewhere, let us all know. More than likely, you looked at 32MB SD cards, which are cheap but unfortunately incompatible with the EVO.

The micros are still running $200.
