Root N1 received 2.2 last night! Is the AOSP available??

I know devs really need the AOSP to create the ROM properly. With this announcement, does it mean you can get this now?

I'm callin' bullshit on that picture. Looks fishy to me. Also, why just one pic? Why not show the Baseband, Kernal, or Build number? Does the N1 really say "Android version" instead of "Firmware version" like the Droid? And out of hundreds of N1 users on Engadget and on various forums, no one else has received it? I'm not buying it.

A Late Night Froyo Treat! Android 2.2 Goes Live On The Nexus One


There's the link... I was gonna call BS but I haven't seen some of those pics of froyo before. Maybe it is the real deal... hopefully we know by tonight because I was gonna wipe and install a new rom, but if this is in the wild I'm gonna wait a few days

So far at XDA they are saying things like "Damn, this thing is FAST..."...But that is all subjective. One guy said he was going to run linpak benchmark to check it out further, but I have not seen results..

The benchmarks appeared to be significantly faster.

I don't see files in the update.zip that update the dalvik virtual machine (to enable JIT), so perhaps they are doing it a different way.

Seems like in 2.2 they've made Twitter a system app though

Benchmarks are a measure of performance but just because its an almost 10x increase in MFLOPS does not mean that the actual performance will be 10x faster, etc. What I want to know is how the actual performance is.

Right on...I know he is super busy right now though (with school and such). I think I read somewhere that Boost would be starting on it right away...Ima be F5ing alot for the next few days... (Except when Basketball is on...Boston/Magic start in 3 hours or so...)
