Any prepaid option with voice & data?

If you are in the US and AT&T service is good in your area, you can turn the AT&T Nexus One into a Gophone with voice and Data. I probably pay $15 a month, $20 at most. This is assuming you really are looking at light voice and data usage.

A very detailed discussion of this can be found here:
PAYG dataplan can work.
I'm reading thru the thread at that link and this looks like a good way to go. I assume you are the starter of that thread and have now switched from the 5800 to the N1.

I tried ordering the $.25 plan online and it says I can't order the plan without also buying a phone. If I have to I'll buy a $10 phone but first I'm checking to see if I can get it without buying a phone.

Also, there is mention of different card denominations and expirations but I only seem to be able to add a $25 card to the cart.

Yes, I am the OP and , yes, I have an N1 now.

Go to an AT&T store (a real AT&T Wireless store, not a kiosk or partner store). They will sell you just the SIM with whatever gophone plan without a phone. I always have gotten my SIM that way.

You don't want refill cards. Once you activate the phone, go on the web and sign in to an account where you can manage the phone. You can either refill the account and buy features off that money or (and this is a recent change) you can just buy the features outright. You just use your credit or debit card in either case. Very easy.
