Sony Ericsson will announce their first android phone (codenames: XPERIA X3/X10/Infinity/Rachael) on november 3th, but alot of info is already floating around the internet. If everything is true this will be the best Android (on paper) to date, eating the Droid for breakfast.

Specs:

Processor – Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz
OS – Android 2.0/Eclair, Custom UI
Camera8.1 megapixel, autofocus, LED flash, image stabilizers, smile and face detection
Networks – Quadband GSM/EDGE/GPRS, HSPA/HSUPA (900/2100 MHz)
Connectivity – Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi b/g, aGPS
Colors – Full black exterior and full white exterior
Display4.1”, touchscreen, capacitive, WVGA (854

Nice post !! Thanks :D

I must say I like the camera with the flash and 8MP with Face detection along with a Snapdragon Processor and Huge 32GB Internal memory and to top if off , Users can have a nice treat of 2.0 Already installed!

All these specs along with others on the Latest handset is already starting to make My HTC Magic look extinct :p

Based on the fact that AT&T carries a lot of SE phones and the bandwith on this phone i have the distinct feeling this will be AT&T's android debut.

Probably, but it just seems like a silly move by SE to go head-to-head with the iPhone on the same carrier... would be best for the consumer to see this on tmobile. That way, tmobile has the new SE, apple has the iphone, verizon has the droid, sprint has the pre.

It's not a bad move. The momentum of Android is pretty good. The android market right now is owned by HTC.
We can look at it this way. They are trying to go against HTC for the Android market.
If they topple HTC then they might go against the iPhone.
You gotta remember that SE and Apple are not partners. As a carrier AT&T would have 2 of the most powerful phones out in the market. Not mention the most powerful Android yet.
Well sprint seems to have the Pre and Hero. Not mention today is the release of the Moment which is the most powerful (cpu wise) android out.

The Xperia X3 looks like a kick *** phone. I was going to head to Verizon on Friday to look at the Droid, but this phone smokes it on paper already. (Plus the Droid has a slide out keyboard, which is a complete dealbreaker for me). I will be doing some searching tomorrow online, once the phone is officially announced, to find out who, when and how much. As long as this phone hits the U.S. shores, it will be my next phone. I'll forget about waiting for Moto to produce a full touch screen android device, like their roadmap shows- this phone trumps it in every way!

(Then I can offically destroy my BlackBerry Storm that never worked right, is now straight up fried due to VZW putting a leaked OS on it to stop my complaining about its slowness. Too bad VZW won't admit their mistake and fix the phone for me or get me a new one...)
