How do you react when....

Everyone asks how you like your iPhone? I am actually glad that it gets mistaken for an iPhone because it gives me a chance to tell people about the advantages of Android over the iPhone OS.

I simply chuckle and explain what it is to them. I tell them it can do everything the iPhone can, do it faster, and I can use it to make phone calls. (if you have ever used AT&T, you'll know what I am talking about). I tell them that I didn't want to lower my expectations and buy an iPhone.

Just curious....what do your first "go to" when you show them how much better the Inc is over the iPhone? Of course, the amazing processor is a good choice but what else?? Apps, the UI, the camera, etc...?

I do two things at once, and watch the iPhone owner look at me in bewilderment because he had no earthly idea that this was possible.

Good question...I'd like to know this as well.

For a non-techie, like my dad, I would just say "it's like an iphone only a little faster and NOT on AT&T".

LOL no one has ever ask me this. You asked the question and used the word everyone, it must be all the people you know are just iTards.

The only plus for the iPhone is it is on AT&T. AT&T was great for me their 3g was faster and could do multiple things at once and AT&T's customer service simply blows verizons away. I seriously am thinking of switching back because of the customer service, I like my Incredible though and AT&T has crappy phones.(which is the only reason I left)

What do people mean that you can make phone calls and surf the web on AT&T, but you can't do it on Verizon? I've never tried it on my Incredible because I've never had the opportunity to, but on my Samsung Omnia 2... I was able to do it just fine. I was able to talk to my friends and check something out on my Chase account online or do a Google search and find out which restaurant was cheaper.

Yeah, can't do that on the Incredible or any other phone on Verizon. Verizon's CDMA cannot do voice and data at the same time.

Unless you have WiFi on :)

Anyways, I have never had anyone ask about it being an iPhone, but have had about 10 people ask me if it's the Incredible, how I like it, where/when I got it, if they can try it out, etc.

If someone asked about my iPhone, I'd simply turn it around, show them the HTC and Google logos, and laugh.

I do IT consulting so I am constantly going into offices and using it in front of the workers and bosses but I don't flaunt it because one my hands are big so they really can't see it and two I have to face the screen to get it to work(most of the time). Once they do ask I usually show off the widgets first(because there there) then I will show off the fact that I can listen to Pandora and surf the web(screw talking and surfing that leads to awkward pauses while your waiting for AT&T's 2G signal). Then that leads me into the next part, I tell them that I get 3G in many, many, many more places that I would with AT&T. I really should get a job selling phones.
