Help 'a' key selects all previous text?

This is the second time this has happened to me - I'll be typing, and when I hit the 'a' key it will highlight all the text and the next keypress will over-write it. Last time I rebooted and it fixed it. Is this a keyboard shortcut I am enabling somehow?
IIRC, the first time it happened was before I rooted, so I don't think it has anything to do with that.

So that's what it is. On CJ05, it happened to a friend who was trying the keyboard and I could never reproduce it. I tried after reading this post and noticed that pressing together keys 'fn', 'a' does select-all, sometimes. I have not been able to duplicate 'v' to paste, though. Always wondered how Android could have left out basic text select, copy, paste functions. :)

If you change the input from standard to swype, then use a physical keyboard, this issue occurs. change back to standard, and its fixed.
