Exercise DVD I believe.

lol...

There's one or two members here that will swear by Shapewriter.

But Swype is the best thing to ever happen to touch screen phones IMO...

ALL the threads about swype here say it all...
Especially the way everyone was about to jump off a bridge when all our Swype versions expired...
I still have nightmares about those 8 hours....

Agreed, Swype is certainly the way to go. When (if) they start charging $.99, 2.99, 5.99 or whatever, that developer with make a mint.

I think they would too...
But they dont. I emailed them about getting it for my sister who has the Motorola Devour. I hadn't found it anywhere. This is what they said:

Thanks for contacting us, and for your kind words about Swype. Swype is not currently available for direct purchase/download on any platform. Our current business model is OEM licensing, which means that the only way to use a feature-complete Swype is to purchase a device that ships with our keyboard pre-installed.

The good news for you is that we do have a beta program for Android, located at beta.swype.com. Enrollment is currently closed, but we

I voted other because I keep going back to the compact qwerty but have both mentioned on my phone, I'm not sure if its becasue its closest to my BB keyboard or what but I'm no faster with the "swype type KB's". While I couldnt prove it they also seem to wear down the battery a little worse than the stock kb's on heavy texting days. So my opinion is that swype has better word recognition out of the box, but shapwriter is ok. I like the numeric pad of SW and their word chooser box thing better than swype.
Overall I would say swype is "better" BUT Shapewriter is still really good and is readily available for free!

Ok... i have officially changed my view on Shapewriter. I have been bashing it lately because I think Swype is so great (still do).

I had tried shapewriter before and felp Swype was a bit better. However, i had not looked into all the different settings.

For example, if you text in more than one language... then Shapewriter is MUCH better than Swype in that aspect.
I text a lot in Spanish, and with Swype i can add words one at a time. But it would take months to have a decent amount of words to be able to swype in spanish without problems.

Shapewriter allows more than one language at ONCE!!! So i can swipe in Spanglish :D without any problems. Just download your language dictionay... and you're set. Don't have to give up english to type in another language.
And I can delete words from Shapewriter dictionary... which you cannot do with Swype.

As far as accuracy, i still might give a slight edge to swype... but shapewriters is right there. Maybe i just need practice.

Still love swype... but I'm going to stick with Shapewriter for a bit to see if it grows on me.

thought you can delete from swype by highlighting and pressing the swype key? anyway, the language thing seems nice, though I don't.
