[New Hero User] More Questions

Hey guys. I am due to recieve my Hero in the next few days. I finally gave up on my N97.

1) I've heard about custom ROMS and been to XDA developers. My question is what is the best Custom ROM out and what new features (apart frm faster performance) does it bring? Also will Sense UI be disabled?

2) Has the MP4 / Video playback stuttering issue been fixed yet? I will be purchasing a class 6 SDHC card.

3) Any one running there apps from there SD card? Is it slow or does it work very well?

1) MoDaCo's Custom Rom

2) Don't know.

3) MoDaCo's custom ROM handles this automatically with a correctly partitioned SD card. Recommend a class 4 or above. Works very well.

Thanks for the replies.

At the moment using latest HTC ROM. I am having to wait for my 16GB class 4 card to arrive (couldn't find class 6 16gb )

Then I will root the phone, install Mod... custom ROM and transfer all my MP4's and MP3's over and install all my apps to SD card.

Don't know if its too late but for a class 6 16gb card the only place in the UK I could find was at dabs.com dabs.com - Trancend 16GB Micro SDHC Card (TS16GUSDHC6) (not particularly recommending this site or make just the only one I've found from various searches).
