Has anyone with an Evo 4G currently tried these game apps? I wanted to know how they run, and if the touch screen controls respond decently. Since the device has multi-touch I'm not to worried.

These things running badly can be a deal breaker for me.

I am so tired of that word "deal breaker" way to overused.

As side not there is a video floating around of someone playing Mike Tyson Punchout on the EVO, looked to playing rather well.

Not having the ability to play 15 year old games is really the deal breaker?

Believe it or not, yes.

I love Android for the emulation apps over everything else. It allows me to carry them with me everywhere, along with my phone and internets all in one package. The Moment was great, but the 3 models I went through had TERRIBLE battery problems.

A modded PSP isn't easy to carry around all the time. Plus its broken and I don't feel like fixing it.

Don't dis mah Retro games, they are still better than the things released today.

im very intereted in how snesoid works as well. i never had one (genesis here) and am looking forward to catching up on games like crono trigger, secret of mana, etc. its not a dealbreaker for me but it is something i really want to work well, especially since the games on android pale in quantity and definately in quantity to the iphone.

Didn't specifically mention Gameboid, but that's the only emulator I've tried on my Evo so far. The multitouch works really well (B+dpad for running) and no problems at all. The only thing that sucks is that Wiimote Controller won't work because the Evo is running HTC Sense which has a bad bluetooth stack.

i have all of the emulators and a run great. the only problem is, when you press 2 buttons (the directional pad is one button) it's fine but when you press more than 2 it does not work. I thought this wouldn't be an issue on the EVOs multitouch screen.

That's not cool. I mean, it's no deal breaker for me, but I'll run emulators just as much as other apps. I was hoping I could play SNES games where I'd have to run and jump at the same time. That's three buttons.
