my basic tv went from $17 to $60. my basic internet went from $43 to $60. my bill went from $60 to $120 plus $40 in taxes.

NO THANKS.

sprint gets my internet business now when i get that 4g. and i'll just pass on tv. thanks to this economy i make less money now but it's costing me more to live. i can't afford to support comcast and there rate hikes. state and govt taxes are killing me as it is.

Tapatalk. Samsung Moment. Yep.

Haha!
Yea I'm sure I could manage on the backbone of an major ISP as well... maybe...

100Mbs is pretty sweet but not for $200/month. I'm not even sure why I could need that much speed unless I was running a highly trafficked website out of my house or something. Even then I think it would still be cheaper to pay a hosting service. I wonder if they have a bandwidth cap on that connection like they do on their normal ones lol.

+1 With FiOS, I found that out through experience.

Meh...I'm still pissed that Verizon eliminated/upgraded my $35/mo 5Mb/2Mb service to the 15Mb/2Mb @ $60+/mo...un-needed bandwidth at twice the price. At least give me a "balanced circuit 5/5 or 10/10.

The Comcast deal would be a little more compelling if it were at least a 100/50, or about $125/mo. I think the FIOS 50Mb is about $90/mo.

The additional bandwidth nowadays is nice. Used to be a pain when I was hosting BF2 and GTR servers, with Comcast "and" Verizon circuits coming to the house. Only had about 1.5Mb up "combined", and had to tell everyone to check the number of people on the server before joining, and if it was at a certain number, join using the secondary IP address.

:D

What about the cap? Do you think that all of the movie downloading/streaming would be a deal breaker?

That's actually a good point. With that much bandwidth, and that kind of price, 250G is not a substantial amount. 1Tb per month would seem more realistic, but quite frankly, I'd remove the cap entirely.

This is just them scrambling (weakly) to catch up with Google before Google dominates the industry with their FIOS system (many cities here have been clamoring for their attention).
