wont let me activate

just got my EVO today ( bought it on ebay) called up the # on the Google io paper.... and they said they cant activate it until june 4th with my number! CRAZY

nope. Just dial *73 + the phone number of the EVO on your current phone.

Your Evo should have a temporary number assigned to it, with a California exchange. The temporary number can be activated, but you will be unable to port your existing number or activate a new line of service on your Evo until June 4th...................

Not if you have a Simply Everything plan. All call forwarding is free (Conditional and Unconditional) with Simply Everything

You can do everything through WiFi except make calls and text. And if you're clever enough, you can do those too

It has a temporary number. You use it like any other phone. The app store uses you Gmail, not your number. Use the phone no different than if you were waiting for a port
