Battery life update?

I can't wait to get away from this damned Pre. 6 hours of standby just doesn't cut it.

Battery life updated with some more info.!

Make sure you keep track of your signal strength to the 3g sprint network in your battery rundown.

ty for the info, looking forward to more battery information.
Thanks, also updated the signal and roaming issue.
Is that dialer the default dialer or is that an app?
yes that is default. I did not modify the look of the dialer in anyway
Yes can you please tell us your settings.

I am also a first time Droid user and i am a little hesitant also to try it.
Setting : Auto Start
AutoKill Level:Safe
AutoKill Frequency: When screen shut's off
Wait so there is no confirmed settings for gmail to set it to grab email "only as it arrives"?
PUSH! as it arrives.
I would think if gmail and the phone were polling the servers every 15 mins searching for mail it would destroy the battery, thats one thing i liked about the Pre & Gmail ...
apprently battery life was strong last night when it stayed on my desk for 9 hrs. didn't have to poll or search for radio because it was staying @ one place

Looks like it covers the front led and speaker grille. Any difference in call volume? Is the led visible?
Thanks!
Added to the Q&A.

It will block a little of the silver grill but it does not affect the LED notification, nor does it affect the sound quality

Is the Seidio case thick enough to stop the camera lens from contacting surfaces when the phone is laid on it's back?
yes! it prevents the camera from touching the flat surface. definitely protects the camera glass from being scratched!

I wonder if the Seidio case will case the edges to get cut up and debris build up. I had a slide on case like this for iPhone (not Seidio brand), but it messed up the edges of the phone.

I had this issue for ipod case. the back cover got sratched form dust. but I can't give you details until i get debris build up inside the Innocase to give you details

JUST FINISHED MY REVIEW!

looks like seidio has a winner on their hands. nice
Seidio does have a winner in their hands...
Can you give any negatives about the case? Would it stand up to some punishment? Is there anything NOT good about it?
Yes there are. After fiddling around with it for half and hr. I found some negatives about the case. I wish they used the felt cloth, all the way around the inside of the case... Because the cloth is located only in the center (check pictures) it will wiggle the very top of the phone and the very bottom of the phone when your pressing on the screen. the cause of this, where there isn't cloth, the case has an empty space causing a slight wiggle room. This means that the very top and very bottom will have some gaps and it isn't flush to the screen. Also a potential problem for dust. If they include cloth insert (all around, fully) it will prevent the gaps, the phone would fit more snugly... AND it will give less of an impact when dropped. this is the only negative, but it shouldn't be much of a problem for most people. 90% of the case is snugly fit (except the very tip of the top and very tip of the bottom.

ORDER YOUR CASE!!!

With that being the case that the felt isn't all the way up or all the way to the bottom of the case, how thick is the felt. Might have to mod the case. I'm thinking maybe finding some felt as thin and gluing it the parts not covered so it doesn't wiggle.

Also are you doing a review of the screen protector as well.

If I didn't say it before, outstanding reviews and thread.

you got PM TS

Yes, might need to mod the Foam Felt on the top and on the buttom to prevent the wiggling. I think their should be a easy fix. I'll check it out and perhaps post about it!

Also Ultimate Screen Guard will come tomorrow or tonight. Dunno

so with moderate use do you see any problems with it lasting ALL DAY, im talking 8am-12pm ish times i'll use email, call, text, and most likely the occasional app/game periodically throughout the day
shouldn't be a problem. i think ATK is the big helper here, but people are b*tching that the prog can harm your phone. LOL owells

htc.EVOlution!! Great work man keep it up! I had NO intentions of buying the Seidio case whatsoever, until reading your review. My browser magically navigated to the Seidio website, on its on. My cpu knows what I want.

I lost my hard on for the case quick when the price for a case and a holster were both $30 each\ $50 for the combo (case and holster). Is it me or is that extremely overpriced for hard plastic. I do want the Seidio case but the price is forcing me to go another route, the cheaper route.

I hammered the EVO today with 4G and GPS on the whole time and got 11.5 hours use. I think with moderate use it will last 16 hours easy.

i think you're kinda paying for the brand a bit too, seidio has been doing cases for some time and have a good rep, yea i think it is a LITTLE over-priced, but at the same time worth it when compared to competition IMHO, brands that are cheaper, LOOK CHEAPER, and i don't want a cheap looking case where i'm scared if the case falls three feet, if so then what is the point in the first place
yup... brand is definitely playing a role in the case price. build quality also determines the case price too. by a BMW of phones, you need to buy a BMW of cases! LOL
