Help Help with Unknown Notification Icon

There's an icon in the notification bar that is shaped like the yellow away status icon for AIM in the IM app, and I'm not sure why it's up there. I've tried signing in, signing out, force stopping, and clearing data, but it won't go away. Any suggestions or help? Thanks.
Tap/hold on the notification bar and drag it down; you get a list containing the icon with an explanation of the event. Tap the event from the list, it should open whatever was creating the notification. Once you act on it, it should clear it out of your notifications.

I have an unknown icon in Notifications as well. It looks like half a circle with 3 green "waves" coming out of the circle. It was to the left of the Location GPS. If I pull down the Notifications bar there is nothing listed.

any help would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure that one means GPS is enabled and currently in use.

Yeah - I have the GPS icon staying up all the time once I start a GPS app - even if I leave it... EVEN, if I turn GPS off through the settings or through the HTC GPS on/off widget...

My only workaroud has been to reboot the phone as well...

I imagine there's no fix for this year - as I haven't been able to find one on here...

Or maybe the task killer option might be the only one...

I've got another icon has popped up on the right side. It looks sort of like crosshairs with a slash through it. (Imagine a circle with a plus in front of it, and then a slash from top left to bottom right in front of it all.)

Anyone know what this is?

Thats the symbol for location services (like for 911), the slash through it must mean you have it disabled

I had this delimma last night and couldn't figure it out either. Like a little baby Pacman screaming for help. But I hadn't had GPS or location services on at all, they have been off since purchasing the phone. Reboot made it disappear.
