I'd call that personal preference. I'm a 5'5" Asian with really small hands, and I don't have any issues with the size.

Wow...if we weren't in an EVO forum, what you just responded could be interpreted in a number of different ways.

Anyway, I played with a dummy EVO today at RS and while it is damn big, I like the size and the weight especially when compared to the HD 2 which is to thin and light.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...

I've had it for over a week now, and I absolutely love it, but it is just too big! I carry it all the time and its just not comfortable to hold.

Your profile says you have the Incredible.... Why would you spend so much money on an EVO when you just locked into a 2 year contract with verizon with a 325 ETF....hmmm..... Do you really even have an EVO or are you just trolling?

A little EVO envy maybe?

Sprint store in LA had a full on working Evo to play with today. I too was worried about the size and the pocketablity. No worries...I slid it in my jeans while the store guys laugh as they said everyone who played with it was doing the same thing. That is what she said! haha But seriously, wasn't an issue and the hefty and solid feeling of the phone is really amazing.

Did you fancy the weight? :D

<---I've had all those phones listed...all within one year and on 3 different carriers. There's ways to dodge that ETF if you REALLY wanted to.

Do you have hands big enough where you can't get gloves easily because they all have to be in XL size? Lol.

Yea, the phone is a bit large, but for me, that's not an issue. The bigger it is, the more comfortable is in my hands.... (that's what she said).

Agreed. I got the pre on launch day 2009 ... but its too small for my hands ... especially the keyboard

Dang, I need to go to best buy to see if they have a dummy version. The sprint store in the Mall of America didn't have one, and they said they wouldn't get one until the phone actually comes out. What lame sauces...
I personaly like the size of the phone, as that was part of the selling point for me. I'm planning to watch videos that have really small subtitles, and though I haven't owned a phone with video playback before, I feel the extra .5 inch is going to help. I also get annoyed sometimes with my sidekick slide when its in my pocket because its too small. Wierd maybe?

Honestly...when will you people learn that it's not about the size of Evo, but more about all the wonderful things that you can do with it? Okay....maybe a little about size too. ;-)
At the risk of sounding silly, I am getting SOOO excited as we get closer to the fourth! RS better come through on my pre order!!!!!

Yes, I have the Incredible..
@tmaxey1 My EVO was free (Google i/o).

Yes, the phone and EVERY feature it has is awesome. As is the Incredible.

@ekt8750 Are you calling ME a troll? Just curious

@NSXLA The weight is fine.

@p00kienrayray I know :)

@Yoketah My buddy is about 5'2' and he did that. He carried the dummy around for 2 days, and had no issues.

I bring mine everywhere. I use it all day (I'm a Union official). But I usually DON'T carry it in my pocket unless I'm at the gym. Plus, I'm a talker, and Italian, so my phone is constantly being waved around in the air as I speak, so it feels like it may fly out of my hand.
But again, literally, that is the only issue I have. It is going to be a very tough decision for me, plus, If you received a Google i/0 phone, and keep it after the 30 days, it's $69 a month unlimited EVERYTHING.
Oh, I didn't breeze through the EVO forum yet, but the SPRINT service and voice quality are really, really good on it. Voice quality is exceptional.

Oh, I'm 5'11" and my thumb JUST makes it to the home button. The LED on/off programs for the desire work on the EVO, but not the Incredible.
fring for video chat is great on it. My sis is in Europe and it works with Skype.

Any other questions? :) Just look at facebook.com/acipollo and everyone is asking about it..

Look everyone, some folks WILL think it is too big. Then there are folks like me. I am old. This past year, my eyes have changed. The Hero is too small. I sometimes have to wear reading glasses. I don't want to wear reading glasses when I use my phone. MY reason for getting the Evo. Any review that cites the Evo as too big just makes me smile.

ok my apologies for the trolling question. You must understand we have had several verizon incredible owners come around here and try to point out negatives to a phone they have never even touched. It seems like people like to create factions in the android world just like their is this android vs iphone thing that has been going on for a while now.

So do you really get EVERYTHING for 69 because its a google conference phone? No extra 10 for "richer data experience"? Unlimited minutes for 69?
Thats a really good deal.

Loved the comment about you waiving your hands around all day. Good one.

If you decide to sell it how much? haha
