Help Pulling the Moment Trigger

I currently own a Touch Pro. I currently HATE my Touch Pro. It's a frustrating piece of laggy garbage. I've been looking for a replacement and want to stay with Sprint. My wife has a Pre, but the keyboard is small, battery life is rough and it lacks a few things I need. I considered the Hero but I want a hard keyboard and the Hero is made by HTC. After the last 3 HTC made phones I've owned (6700, Mogul and TP) have all suffered from severe design flaws requiring many replacements (2-6700, 5-Moguls, 2 TP+1 keyboard repair), I'm not too thrilled about buying another HTC device. The Moment has caught my attention. I do have a few concerns before I pull the trigger, and I hope some here who have already taken the plunge can help me out. Some things are general android, some are Moment specific.

-Several spec sheets list the Moment as not having a speakerphone? (hard to believe!)
-The only way to get files (movies, pics, music, etc) on the phone is to pull the battery, remove the sd card and use a card reader?
-I've read that the Android 1.5 mail app can only access one gmail account? True? If so is there a workaround? I actively use 5 at the moment.
-I'm assuming there are decent RSS readers available (I use Egress on my WM phone).
-Does the audio player work well with bluetooth, particularly the AVRCP controls? This is a mess with most if not all the available TP roms.
-I currently d/l podcasts to my pc with Podnova, then transfer them to my phone's sd card every morning with mobsync. Since there is no sync capability with this phone, is there a decent podcatcher app that will cache on the sd card , not just stream?
- Is there a decent note taking/organizing app included or available in the app market? I currently use alarmnotes from Pocket Informant on my TP.

I want to get away from the TP, but I don't want to trade one frustration for another. I'm tired of saying "peice of s***" over and over every time I try to get my smartphone to do what it should do easily and I'm really tired or soft resetting several times a day when things go FUBAR. Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

I've only had my Moment for 2 days and I am completely satisfied. I had the Hero since it launced and decided to make the switch. It was an extremely solid device,but it was a little slow(UI) and the battery wasn't very good. Sense UI is very pretty to look at,but I ultimately made the switch because of the faster processor and better screen. I can't answer all your questions,but I can answer some of them.

1. It has a speakerphone. A very loud one at that.
2. You don't have to pull the SD card to transfer files. When you plug it in it gives the option to mount the SD and turn the phone into a removeable drive. When you're finished you just turn off that option and you're done.
3. I know that you can use multiple Gmail accounts when 2.0 comes out,but I'm not sure about now.
4. I use Blue RSS and it works perfectly.
5. There are mutiple podcast apps in the marketplace. I don't use one so I couldn't recommend one to you,but they do have some to choose from.
I use Note Everything and it works just fine for my needs. Though there are tons to choose from.

That's all the answers that I have. I hope that this helps. I almost got a Pre,but got the Hero instead. Then after having it for a while and getting to play with the Moment I made my final decision. I now have the Moment and couldn't more satisfied. Now I patiently wait for 2.0(Eclair) to come out.

ok, so you mentioned a few things about the Moment that i can answer:

1. it DOES have speaker phone and it's VERY loud.
2. you can connect the Moment to a PC and it will read it. can't get it to read on a Mac yet...soon maybe. you can then drag and drop files right to your SD card.
3. i have 2 gmail accounts set up already and i'm sure i'll do more. plus with my google wave account i'll add more.
4. there are RSS readers but i don't use them so i couldn't comment
5. haven't tried the music player with bluetooth but just using it on the phone itself it rocks. plus, in the market there is an app called iMusic. you can search for a song, download it (all free) and play it as if you had added it from your own machine. you can set ANY song that you're listening to as a ringtone as well!
6. wouldn't ever use podcasts on a cell. impractical IMO. i have an iPod for that...ergo, i can't comment on that bit.
7. there is a few note taking apps. i use AK notepad. really simple interface, easy to use.

i like the Moment so far. you just have to get used to the battery. when it says 15%, it's not that bad. although the screen will auto-dim, you have plenty of power left.

Although I too had the Hero and returned it for the Moment, I have truly have nothing bad to say about the Hero. I thought the build quality and design were top notch. But coming from a BB (one that I use for work), I just couldn't get used to the virtual keyboard.

However, I will say that if HTC ever does come out with an Android device with a Qwerty keyboard, from my experience with the Hero, I won't hesitate to give them another shot.

Why would you settle for something thats going to be obsolete by the time they push it to the phone?

The biggest perk to 1.6 is CDMA support. We got that already. VPN would be the other big highlight.

I'd rather they followed suit with HTC and skipped 1.6 and went straight to 2.0

Thanks for everyones help! I'm probably going to pick up a Moment in a moment (well, a few hours actually). I can't wait to get rid of the TP. It's not that it is so bad, but that it has so much potential and misses by a little bit almost every time. I'm also done with HTC. I've had WM/PocketPC/WinCe devices dating back to the Casio E105. In all my years of dumb phones and PDA's I never needed to have a device repaired or replaced. With my 3 HTC smartphones over the last 3 years or so, I've had 9 replacements and one repair. Seeing the growing reports of dust under the screen with the Hero tells me that HTC is still up to its old tricks, my Mogul(s) had the infamous white spot and the TP(s) have the slightly less annoying oily spot. Most reviewers gush on about HTC's great hardware, based on my personal experience I have to strongly disagree.
