Hi, just getting used to my HTC Desire, after reading your forum I was comforted regarding battery life and it seems much better now than the first few days.
I see another post on this but no answer, the address book only gives one line of the address is then any way round this? Even my first pda a Psion 3 had the option of which fields to display etc. there seems very little option to format what is seen, not that I am unhappy about the rest but to have to edit to see all the address is barmy.
Another thing way back then that still is not found is search all fields of the contacts, i.e. to find a number of someone that rang on another phone.
Thanks for any comments, suggestions
Keith

I've created a contact and address. When i view that contact, you can see the full address:

You happened to show an example where the address was short - try a longer address that wouldn't fit in one line.

I just got my first Android phone (Evo on Sprint) and have the same complaint - why can't I see the full addresses!

But I have a theory. To get the addresses onto my phone I synced them from my Mac to gmail, and from gmail to Android. I think the problem is that the gmail contact has a single text box for the address field - city, zip, etc are not broken out into separate fields - and that this single address field gets mapped to the street field in Android. Maybe I should test this...

I re-entered an address properly - such that the city, state, etc. fields are populated. This didn't work - it's still shown as one line. And there's no way to view it in a proper multi-line format, as far as I can tell. Clicking to view will ask to open in Maps.

This is surprisingly bad UI design for a contact view. Hard to believe...

Well, unlike my previous iPhone, I suppose I can look for alternative contact apps.
