Some Radio Shack info... Cmon Friday, get here!

Ok, I've been following the EVO for a few months and can't wait to use my upgrade Friday! Here's my story and the bit of info I got.

Friday, I went into my local RS to do the preorder . To my disapointment, they had stopped . They did take my name and number down in hopes that there would be extras . They informed me that this RS had 3 preorders and those EVOs were guarenteed.

I notice on these forums the reports of some RS opening @ 6:00. I'm hoping to get over to RS and maybe grab the 6:00 time and grab the first extra phone (if any are available).

I head over to my RS and the tell me "they will be opening @ 9:00 as usual . But..... they will be geting 6 EVOs, Im the first on the list for the non-preordered and the set up an 11:00 apointment to pick it up .

Weeeee, I'm happy !

p.s. I'm in the St. Louis metro area where sprint 4G is being tested atm!

Supposedly my RS got 7 pre-orders but it still only opening at 9am.

Someone said it was mandatory for them to open at 6am if they got a certain number of pre-orders but I guess not.

That's nice that they're holding one for you.

I'm afraid to go to RS to pick up my phones. I got 3 evos and if my RS has only 5-7 evos up for preorders, i'll be taking half ;eek:

Just got a call from RS saying my 3 evos will be ready for pickup, but not until june 4th! Does it mean they already receive shipment and just holding these phones? Is there anyway we can get them to sell it sooner?

Find out what time they close, go there a few hours AFTER that with a crowbar and black ski mask.

i just got a vmail from RS saying my phone IS IN! he said "obviously, we can't sell it to you until Fri..."

It is only mandatory if one of the pre order people ask for that time slot. They will only open at the time of the earliest appointment request.

Seriously? They called me and asked when I wanted to come in. I said what's the earliest and they said 9am. So I said "ok" to 9am.



Oh well. It's not like I'm NOT getting one. lol

Yeah I called some of mine locally and they have em in stock. The store I was supposed to go to had 3 pre-orders and thought they were getting 6 total EVO's so they took name's for the other 3.

Called today and they only got 5 total and I'm 6th on the list. FML. Hopefully the other two don't show up when I'm there
