call waiting issue

Something I have noticed on my Moto Droid that has happened a few times now. If I am on a call, and get a second call, when I slide to pick up the call the new call just drops while the original call is still active.

Thoughts?

I think the call waiting function - how to put your current call on hold, take the 2nd call and either hang up on the 2nd call and go back to call 1 or go back to call 1 and hang up and come back to the call 2 - is the most confusing phone portion of this phone. never seems to work as expected and potential for wasted minutes.

there was a convoluted step by step thread on it I read one time at the actual Motorola site. Essentially, IIRC, the admitted the function was not really correctly implemented.

To accept the second call, you select MANAGE CALLS at the top left corner. You do not slide anything. MANAGE CALLS is how you select back and forth.
This only appears when you have a second call.

BUT.. ever done it? ever tried to hang up on 1 call and keep another, it is a very odd execution at best. sometimes you hang up and BOTH get hung up on and then a second later your phone calls you back and there is 1 of the people.

switching back and forth is not al that hard, managing who to keep and who to hang up is another matter. believe me, the Motorola forums have topics on this for a reason.
