DE, AU, CH 2.1 firmware for UK?

Has anyone tried the new firmware which has no set provider for DE, AU, CH on their UK milestone?

I have the Central European one installed with no problems and would like to know if this one is better (it has a higher build number SHOLS_U2_02.34.0 vs SHOLS_U2_02.31.0).

I've been using the Vodafone DE one for a month now (rooted, removed some apps etc.) and it's been working great on my German Milestone. Prior to that I was using the DACH version with the same build number ... also worked fine.

Also, how did you root? Do you have a link to the 2.1 update.zip root?

I think any of the SBFs with the same BAND that is used in the UK would work for your UK Milestone. The only difference I think between them is the keyboard layout and the default special characters (pound,

hi , please need your advice.
I have bought a motorola milestone with 2.0 os from germany and update with ota to 2.1. i have everything but dont have the speech to text feature and i really want it.

contacted motorola and they say that i cannot have that feature as it is only for uk mobile model. .
please suggest me how to install speech to text on my mobile.
- can i install uk 2.1 version on my mobile without any risk.
- should i wait for 2.2 version.

please let me know what to do.
