Root [ROM] Aloysius 2.0v12

For some reason I can't find the OP thread for v12, just flashed this to my wifes replacement she got a couple of hours ago.

[ROM] Aloysius 2.0 PORT V12 with OC, Friendstream and APP2SD (5/24/10) Up And Running - xda-developers

She is loving the. Friendstream works (I am on EE where Friendstream is a WIP, or at least I can't get it working)

Got her set up on OC, LWP, and Wireless Tethering. The only one she will care about is LWP

Seems that a lot of people are using this one. Think I'll give it a try though I think I like Vanilla better than Sense.

You are aware there are 2 versions of this ROM. There is a MAP version that is for navi and there is a LWP version for LWP. Make sure you got the correct one.

i tried ee, ic3, white widow, alyosuis, etc, and i am now back to ee. ee is just good, fast, looks good, stable, etc.

No. LWP causes nav to not work, so the dev has made 2 different versions. Giving the user a choice on which they want.

Ya Caddy, I really like EE and I just flashed it to my wife's. After a day she wasn't liking Alyosuis. She should be good to go now.

yeah i think i found a happy medium. i am running EE ROM, home switcher and ADW launcher. this way i can have 2 totally different and functional home screen layouts that are easy to switch back and forth between.

I would go with EE, but I just like the Vanilla ROMs for some reason. I know that EE is likely to be really stable. Maybe I'll get brave and just try it, tomorrow. I started on WW 3.1 and haven't left it since.

I really enjoyed EE 2.0.1, my only issue was the soft keys not lighting up really bugged me.

+1 3.0 was just released and fixed that issue, however, the blue theme isn't complete. i am waiting for it to be completed before i go back to EE.

i have been running vanilla roms lately, but I just flashed Aloysius Snow. (just released yesterday) It's nice.

but I'm still on Aloysius, after getting MMS to work i haven't found one that runs smoother. Now I just need a certain 5 mflops users to release what he's running....

Well, I dont know if this makes a difference but this is how I got to where I am ...
I already have setCPU installed on my phone.
Then I downloaded Linpack from market (free).
I went to this site...
Overclock Patch and update.zip - xda-developers.
Followed the directions on that page.
downloaded kernel-overclock-update-v3.zip .
Set my clock speed to 768/768.
I wasnt happy with what I got, somewhere in the mid 3 MFLOPS, so I looked into JIT.
I flashed JIT and did another Linpack and that is what I got.

Did you have to remove Sense?

Okay...I finally got around to trying other ROM's today, but I just sat at the bootup animation screen for 30 minutes. Did the wipes. Tried Aloysius 2v12 and white. Looked down in the first post on xda and tried the adb command given for those not upgrading from v11. Got the # symbol. Nothing. I'm back on my nand backup of WW 3.1 now. Help?

That's what I thought, but no dice for me. I stay on the boot screen without loading the new ROM. I'll give it another run in a minute. If I can get this to work, flashing new ROM's will be very painless.

well I'm wiping my current Aloy and installing a fresh v12 with overclock patch. Deleting the two NAND backups of Aloy i have and going from there. Lets hope my issues go bye bye. Next fun step. Ditching rosie.apk and enabling JIT
