Best deal for someone on a contract looking to get EVO?

Browsed around the forum quite a bit, and didn't see much posted about it. and it may be because there is not other solution... but I figured I would ask...

I am on a sprint contract for another 18 months. No upgrade for me. But I realllllllllly want this phone. I sold my hero in anticipation, but the $500 price tag is kinda killing me. So... my question is.... what would you say is the best (if any) deal for someone on contract?

Is there any possible way to get this thing for less than the full retail price from anywhere? Thanks in advance.....

Would it be cheaper to add a line to your existing plan? Not sure if the total cost over 2 years would eat any savings on the initial cost. Currently $169 at wirefly with $50 bing bucks or something. You would have to do the match, not as bad if you are already on a family plan.

Ya, I'm on a family plan now.... how would that benefit me with wirefly?
How does the $50 bing bucks work? Is it instant?

Wondering how I could buy this phone as at new contract price from wirefly, eat the cost of cancelling the contract, and activate this phone with my current (long holding) phone number......

Second thought, which isn't going to help today :D

But years ago, I broke my Blackberry when it was about 2 months old. I called At&t to get a replacement and they sold me a new one for about 1/2 retail, not the outrageous "no contract" price. You might also ask about extending the existing contract. sometimes they do things that aren't advertised if they can hook you for a few more months.

You can also play the "Iphone HD coming next week" card and figure out what it cost to break your contract.

Last really left field thought, would be to cancel your existing contract (depending on cost) and start a new contract.

Wirefly just seems to have to lowest price today. that price is good for add-a-line, new contract or renewal. Not real sure about the bing stuff, there is another thread here that is talking about it, but it is a Microsoft rebate thing.

Well, I pulled the trigger and just ordered it from Wirefly. Oh well....

But hey, how was I supposed to claim my $50 bing cash back? I use Bing Cashback on ebay buy-it-nows all the time, so I am familiar with the program. I searched wirefly in bing, grabbed the wirefly link through bing, placed my order... but no where did it give me an opportunity to claim the cash back. W...T...F....??

You have to sign up with Bing to get the cash back.

Ya, like I said.... it's a program I am familiar with. I am signed up. I use it all the time. Usually when I submit payment through a website using it, before completing the transaction... there is an area to insert my paypal email to claim the cashback refund. Didn't appear before or after my purchase. I'm wondering how I'm going to grab that cashback now... ughhhh

Sorry about that. Maybe try and cancel and rebuy?

Check this thread too.
