Anyone else have an awful camera?

Is it just mine? I shoot photos and videos professionally for a living, so I know what I am doing and this camera is pretty much useless. Mine has major front focussing issues Its nearly impossible to get anything in focus, even if you are 2 feet in front of it and the video quality is pathetic. Is anyone else getting pics in focus?

Well since you are a big time photographer you should realize that the cameras and camcorder on this thing are far from professional. You cant expect these things to be perfect. Im sure a lot of people will be happy with the quality considering its in a cell phone.

Me and a couple of friends got the Evo this morning. I took a few pictures with it and it seems to be working for me. I dont have the most steady hands, but the pictures I've taken have been clear for me. I had a couple pictures come out blurry but I was moving the phone at the time.

Its a possibility your lens is scratched. Without a case, the camera sticks out and is very vulnerable to scratches and whatnot.

Ummm, I expect photos IN FOCUS! The photos are blurry. The photos from the front facing camera however are night and day better. Something is wrong with the main camera

I am a professional photographer, but a built in camera on a phone is useless to me.

That is like saying.
I am a professional race car driver, and the ford focus is slow to me.
I am an commercial airline pilot and a hang glider is just junk to me.
I am a professional enigineer, and lego's do not cut i for me. Are you serous?

Have you looked at your professional camera, and go you are just a piece of junk phone?

Awesome! Only slight complaint is the battery life, even with my 1800mah battery. But 4G had mysteriously turned on, so I am assuming that played a part it draining it. Even still. It went from 100% down to 20% in 4 hours which is ridiculous. I am running a live wallpaper though.

Mine did the same thing, then I installed advanced task killer. There was like 20 apps running. Now I am getting really good battery life.

I own a DSLR, and have done some photography. The camera is decent at best during normal shots. However, if you have good lighting, and can get the focus just right, it will easily replace your low-mid range point and shoot camera. I took a couple amazing shots this morning. The problem is, it's really kinda rare when that moment arises. I think it's safe to say we all just pull out the camera and start taking pictures without much thought into.

LOL, I did that too, felt just as silly after I took the wee plastic piece off after charging. I may try out the camera tomorrow, but the battery issue scares me. I tried to find a Hero battery locally, but no joy.

I was always told you dont need ATK because alot of apps running dont really do anything in the background anyways.
