Help ActiveSync

Exchange 2007. Default activesync policy. Activesync on for user. Not using ssl. After entering credentials I get this error. "Your microsoft exchange server account does not have permission to synchronize with your current settings.

If I try the same thing with ssl turned on I get "authentication failed. Please verify username and/or password"

there are no errors or any logs what so ever on the Exchange 2007 box related to me trying to connect to the server with activeSync

Any clues?

Does your Exchange server have mobile security policies enabled? If so, Android 2.1 does not support them. You'll have to wait for 2.2 or go get Touchdown.

I have the same problem and I know it has to do with security certificate. It is easier to manage that on the Pre but I don't know how it works on Android. I will check out the Touchdown application.

The default is enabled and virtually wide open. Android may not officially support them, but it does work on other builds of 2.1. Used same account, same server...... on a verizon droid and worked fine. Iphones work, samsung moment works......

Seems to be something with the login format. Other versions have one field for "Domain/username" This has two. Domain and username. I have tried all different combinations. Netbios name of domain, Fully qualified, alias, but nothing works. Get the same error.

Used the Microsoft tool for activesync https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ and it worked fine. Again using domain/username format.
