I'm also a brand new Android user (a Blackberry refugee)... looking for a way to get some of the BB alerts I'm used to hearing (like for e-mail, sms alerts, facebook alerts, etc.) onto my new EVO. Can I do that?

Yeah I am a BB refugee as well...and yeah you can open your BB sounds file move all your files to your EVO...and then set-up all your alerts and ring tones with the ones from your bb...pretty simple really.
