What phone to get in the UK???

So I live in the UK and I am just about to sell my iPhone 3GS for a new Android phone. So hears my problem shall I get the HTC Desire now or wait a couple more weeks to get a hopefully new HTC device that comes out in the UK. I also don't mind what network the phone could be on?

Thanks, John

I dont think you will get a better android phone in the uk,than the desire, some networks have not long had it,so their wont be another for a while,it runs circles round the i-phone,better screen, faster processor, better camera, just fantastic.

Although the Desire has a better screen like you said, the iPhone's touch technology runs circles round the Desire's unfortunately. Desire uses the old synaptics 2000 so only supports 2 touches at once , where the 3GS supports far more i think. Also the Desire's axis flips when doing complex gestures. So if ur a big gamer, i would wait for a new device to come out because the Android gaming scene is booming now and im sure plenty of new games are going to require more complex controls. The new Droid Incredible and EVO use newer technology which fixes the limitations of the Desire, so its pretty much guaranteed that the next android phone to come to UK will not have any of these problems.

But if you're not big on games then go ahead and get the Desire!

It only has 256MB of RAM.

I'd go for the Desire or the Legend(if you want something smaller).

Wrong it has 512MB of Ram and all these advantages over a Desire:

Advantages of Galaxy S over Desire:

Super Amoled 4" Screen.

1Ghz Hummingbird Processor.

Better GPU.

Wifi Tethering out of the box.

Internal Memory as well as Card Slot.

Wifi N.

DLNA.

HD Video Recording.

DivX/XviD support.

Lighter & Thinner.

Video Call Camera.
