Root what have you done with your unrevoked?

I'm hoping I can use it to remove sprint apps. I'm waiting to do it until I stumble across how to remove them.

If you want to remove sprint apps, dont use this method. Use the one toast created, because it allows you to flash a custom recovery and have write access to /system to be able to remove them. This unrevoked method doesn't allow using a custom recovery so you are SOL trying to remove anything.

So the unrevoked method won't allow me to flash custom ROMs?

No, you will have to use the other method over on xda forums by toast. It allows you to flash a custom recovery, wipe data, make a nandroid and flash a custom ROM. There are two roms that you can flash, froyo 2.2 (developmental beta) and a fully stock rooted 2.1.

oh yes, ive done that. I want it removed completely.

You will have to wait until someone creates a custom 2.1 AOSP, it will have sense removed and will be basic android. I wouldn't expect to see one of these for a few weeks though. I think right now the priority is getting through the locked NAND. But dont worry, there will be plenty of custom ROMs for you eventually.

well, you can add "root-worthy" apps, remove stock bloatware, install themes, and basically have complete control over your phone.

From what I read further up in the thread, you can't remove bloatware using the unrevoked method, which this thread is about. I just want to be clear about that, I've been reading several root threads and someone mentioned Root Explorer allowed them to delete the bloatware, but I've yet to be able to do so. So I'm going to assume the earlier statement that we can not do that using unrevoked's method is correct.

Also I'm not trying to be a dick haha, I'm just trying to be absolutely clear, because a lot of posts are not.
