Don't know if we need to create a sticky, or if this should be in the 'All Things Root' subforum. Anywho... The rooted 2.2 Froyo ROM that was released to contains several thing that I didn't hear about in the YouTube videos and online articles. Here's a few things, other join in with there findings.

Flash 10.1 is indeed working.

Orientation - now the DROID can be flipped to the left or right for different landscape modes.

The Market now has an auto-update feature for your apps.

Anything else???

Lol really? These were like the main reason for me to get excited for 2.2 lol. These are the only things people even talked about besides how fast it was.

This is your first post ... really? Keep up the great work. :)

F.M radio anyone?

Not that I have found. Sorry.

Have you tested the cloud computing from the firefox or chrome addons?
I'm getting my phone all prep'd to install 2.2 right now?

The Firefox link was broken. (Foxtophone)
Here's the Chrome to Phone extension and apk.

I have the extension installed in Chrome, but the app on my DROID can't register. I'll keep trying and report back if it ever registers.

This could have been in 2.1 for all I know though. I never go into accessibility options.

can u save apps to sd card?????

Yes. But from what I understand, the app has to support the feature also. Could be wrong ... I'll test it out. In Settings > Applications > Manage applications, there is an "On SD Card" tab. I just don't know how to install an app onto the sdcard as of yet.

Sorry, I didn't realize this was your own personal thread or that I was supposed to somehow know what all you'd read online. The post above mine included a "tidbit" that is on that page so I thought I'd share a link for more information.

I didn't mean to offend you Paul. I guess I falsely assumed that you were pointing out that there was already a place to go to find everything one would want to know about 2.2 Froyo. Sorry for the misinterpretation of your post. My bad.

My original reply to you has been edited. :)

While it's not a feature I was unaware of, I am utterly amazed at Flash 10.1. I watched 2 hours of Fox News/CNN on JustinTV last night. It was live, and when I say live, the clock on the channel matched the clock on my phone. It was very clear and in sync. If you have 2.2 on your phone, give it a try...Amazing...Admittedly I was on Wifi, but still...Awesome!

The Power Control widget now has a brightness setting for automatic brightness!

Actually, It had it before - On both BB 1.0 and CM 5.0.6.8 (?) I used to hit the brightness button on the power widget and it would cycle into bright, not bright and automatic.

I would worry abut the auto-update feature for apps. Two that I can think of recently, Handcent and Homerun battle 3D, the updates have received less than positive reception.

Autoupdate is disabled by default, and you have to enable it on an per-app basis, manually.

I'm guessing Math Workouts supports the SD card. After I installed Froyo it was placed on my sd card after I updated the app.

Someone should build a list of apps that work with the SD card.
