Help google maps navigation - avoid toll roads?

I tried searching but could not find an answer on this. I know there was an option to avoid toll roads and highways on my Eris, but I can't seem to find that same option on the Incredible. Can anyone else confirm this?

It's hard to imagine that on the Eris you can but on the Inredible you can't. It's the only thing I miss about my Eris. Is there anyway to avoid tolls on the Incredible?

open navigation. let it show the route it wants you to take. Then MENU > ROUTE INFO > SETTINGS (Gears icon) > Avoid Highways and Avoid tolls.

Still could not find any options to avoid tolls. Going crazy looking for it. Looked in markets and what do u know.... I have an update avail for Google maps. Dl and installed and BOOM avoid tolls option now there!

What's weird is i never got a notification that an update was avail. Strange. Now I know to always check for updates even when I don't get notifications.

When your filling in your (A) start and (B) ending points for Directions, under the ending point, in small blue type look for the words "SHOW OPTIONS".

Click on that and you can check "Avoid Tolls"

Sorry everybody, my solution was on a desktop PC. On my Android (Galaxy S2) I use CoPilot Live, a great GPS program, which gives you the option to avoid tolls with a simple check-mark.

I'll take a look at Maps on my phone.

Here's the solution for the Android:

1) Start Maps
2) Across the top, in a grey bar, under the word MAPS, and to the right is a TRIANGLE - click on that
3) Navigation
4) Type or speak your DESTINATION
5) Navigation
6) A map appears, at the bottom right, are 3 horizontal lines, click on that
7) Route and Alternatives
8) Across the bottom are 4 icons, click the 2 gears (2nd from the left)
9) Check "AVOID TOLLS"
10) Then click "ok"
11) A message "updating directions" will appear, then your new route will be shown
