hello guys,
i really like the original screen protector that came with the xperia x10 phone. it is the spare screen protector that is in the box with the phone, not the one that is factory installed on the phone screen. anyway, i accidentally ruined mine today messing around with it. i need another one and i cant find one like it. does anyone know where i can buy this screen protector.

the unique properties about this "oem" screen protector that i like so much is that it is "static" type adhesive, it "perfectly" mate with the screen from corner to corner, it "completely" cover the entire screen glass surface with no unnessary holes. yes it matters to me.

i dont know how much boxwave cover the screen, but what i dont like about this brand is their the screen protector has a cutout hole for the proximity sensor, and i dont like that. the oem does not have the cut out hole and i like my entire screen cover without any hole.

clarivue dont have any cutout hole, but it has been clearly documented that their screen protector does not cover the entire screen, it has about one milimeter gap around the sides. this bothers me too.

if anyone know where i can order the original oem screen protector that came with the xperia x10 please help me out.

or if possible, if you happen to be not using your original "oem" screen protector that came with the phone because you've interested in something else instead, or perhaps just not needing it, can you sell it to me. i can use a couple for spare.
please pm me with a asking price and i will get back in touch with you, i will pay with paypal.

thanks

Maybe only certain regions get the extra screen protector..
I know a guy that's working in a cell shop ,there are a lot of stuff that you might "not get in the package because of the region" :)
what i;m trying to say is : some guys take memory card or screen protectors or h/f's or i don't know ... memory card readers from the box ... so allways ask for a sealed one!
i don't know if any of you that don't have the screen protector were screwed by the shop or not ,but i know this for a fact!

Cheers

I have seen a few threads about this from other forums, and think some people are on about the cover that's on from the start, with the little tab on the side. It has a factory fitted protector which i wish i had never removed, but you can buy perfect fit ones from ebay very cheap.
Just dont take it to Reading Market, i did, and the guy said he had one he would cut to size, from the iPhone, i pointed out the iPhone screen is smaller, but he said it would fit, it didn't, was wonky as hell, and had more bubbles than an Aero, so i pulled it off, said thanks but no thanks, and told him he could whistle for his 3 quid!!!

well, the factory installed screen protector is not the thin piece of plastic that has the tab on the upper right corner of the display, it is a very thick layer right below the plastic cover with the tab. what this mean is when you first remove your phone from the box, there is a thin piece of plastic covering on the screen, this plastic covering is very easy to remove with your finger. furthermore, below that plastic covering there is another plastic covering, this is the factory installed screen protector. it cannot be easily remove a finger or a finger nail. It is also very dificult to see, you will need to look closely to see it under well lit environment. I didn't know about this at first and aplied the spare oem screen protector on top of this factory installed screen protector. so I was having two layer of screen protector. anyway, I did notice a slight sensitivity improvement after I took the factory screen protector off, and while in this process I accidentally ruined my spare screen protector too.

Is it similar to the one that came on the phone? I have got 2 screen protectors online and on the top part where it has a half circle for the ear piece, none of the 2 fits exactly. Both of them leaves a huge part unprotected. Maybe I'll take a pic to show you what I mean.

Does the one that comes with the case fits exactly around 'half circle' on the top?

You see the top? Do you get what I mean?
