"Mobile to Mobile" and Google Voice

Do you mean within the GV app? What are you trying to do? You don't need to add anything for just texts.

when ppl txt my google voice number it is received to me showing other gv numbers like routing numbers they use internally. Seems to keep the same number for each contact though. So im wondering if you just add your gv number will the routes it takes count against the minutes.

And no im not using gv app that might be different?

If you use the android google voice app for your GV SMS you won't see that random number.

zcarman... just had it added via chat.

Thanks for the pointer! I was desperately looking for a feasible way to keep using GV, and this will work.

I just went into chat and they told me nothing could be done. I'd have to add the $99 plan +$10 premium data when I only know one person that still uses a landline. $30 extra for that?

Did you tell them it was google voice or just said you want @home? I dont want to get any overage charges by lying.

This is a sad, sad day. I have to return my EVO. Google Voice is a must to keep my number, but there is just no way I pay $147 a mo to get everything I need.

What plans out there on any carrier are GV friendly?

I agree... I hate to lie to get discounts, so I don't do that.

I did ask if I could use any number for the @home add-on, analyst said yes (as long as it was a landline). Keeping my GV number is crucial too, so I understand your concern.

FTR, this was all on the wife's phone, but I'll be replicating the process on my phone when I get my EVO.

Tre thanks for the info. I went back on chat and got a different rep this one knew about it and I got it for $5 extra a mo

All he said is confirm this is a landline or something like that and i said YES.. I didn't lie and he could pretend im just calling home. we're both happy. I guess they just dont want people abusing this which I understand. Only one with a landline i talk to is my mom so its not like im ripping them off.

This whole evo experience with google is just frickin awesome. It costs a pretty penny but I love the idea of no overage charges and all my bills on one sheet of paper. Finally a solution that does everything after 2 yrs of waiting.
