I wanna know what are your thoughts on the Apple keynote on Monday?

So what are your thoughts in the event. Are any of you excited to see what they are coming up with it do you not care at all.

Sent from my Nexus One using Tapatalk

It should be an interesting performance.

However, I'm really not interested in hearing people getting excited about Apple finally doing what everyone else has already done.

If all they have to announce regarding the new iPhone is what we already know from the Gizmodo leak, Apple is screwed! I'm wondering if Steve Jobs really has something up his sleeve, or if he's simply bluffing when he tells reporters "You won't be disappointed."

I've heard it rumored that the new iPhone may have some sort of motion control or perhaps a 3D screen, I think that's going to be what it will take to impress anyone other than fanboys. That or some big non-iPhone announcement.

I doubt it will have a 3D screen..

Seeing as that would require an "over drive" in power.. I mean hard enough to make regular tvs do it..

With that said.. I wonder if they are going to keep the os as dull and boring as it has been..

Black background with the icons up front..

*Edit* I will die laughing if apple releases the new iphone and it ONLY has a front facing camra.. and steve jobes justifies it by "why take pictures of other people if you can't take pictures of yourself?"

and then all kinds of people start talking about how they only use camra phones for taking pictures of themself anyway.

i believe in 4.0 the feature is already confirmed that people will be able to change their homescreen background.. anyway. I agree with what other people said, i am an iphone owner myself, but if all the new iphone has is the same stuff from the various leaks going on, apple is gonna be in some trouble.

Since I have an iPad that runs the iPhone OS, I am pretty interested in seeing what they come up with.

Agreed. The iPad is the fastest device I layed my hands on; including the Incredible & EVO.

If the iPhone comes out with true 720p/30fps video recording (not that 20fps EVO crap), A4 CPU with the same speed as the iPad, and a real battery life of 6-10 hours like the ipad, I am sold. Basically, I just want everything the Ipad has in a smaller form factor with 720p video recording.

Has anyone use a magic-mouse? Well, if rumors has it, the back casing of the new iPhone is a multi-touch magic-mouse, that would be wicked. E.G control the video camera recording by pressing the back of the phone; sliding the side to focus, zoom-in,zoom-out. It may sound out there but it is totally in the realm of doable with today's tech.

Well I would never get an iPhone regardless because out here in SoCal, AT&T is complete garbage. Most of my friends are stuck texting because of all the dropped calls. When they do use voice, they sound awful and I have to always ask them to repeat themselves. Not to mention the lack of customization on an iPhone, poor RAM and no way to change the battery. The magic mouse is awesome, I am using one now. Not sure I would like one on the back of my phone though.

I think you should take a look at the Samsung Galaxy S the 1Ghz Hummingbird Processor is more powerfull than Qualcomms Snapdragon or even Apple's A4 (which is also made by Samsung), And yes it has 720p HD Video Recording at 30fps, It can also playback films on the 4 Inch Super Amoled screen for over 7 hours straight. Not to mention the most powerfull GPU in a phone and Wifi thethering and the best screen on any mobile phone etc etc

..... I already have a HTC Droid Incredible, so why would I want a second Android superphone in my pocket? I already have unlimited corporate portable wifi thru a MI-FI 220, so the tethering is not an issue for me. I

I do have a need for a Phone that has Cisco IPSEC group authentication VPN, WPA2-Enterprise WIFI. Both of which are unavailable on Android as of today. So I am definitely interested in what comes out today.

I rather keep my HTC Incredible in my left pocket and an iPhone HD in my right pocket; along with a Dell Streak in my over-coat, and my existing iPad in my backpack.

Sounds like you're going back to Apple. Have fun.

I'm watching it to check out the competition, but I just left Apple (mostly left AT&T) for a reason. I'm not headed back that way. It could be my wife's next device if they release a Sprint version, but she REALLY likes my Evo. Size does matter...

im a little interested to see if there is anything genuinly new in OS4/new iPhone, but mostly i dont care.

Steve Jobs just isnt fun to listen to, he just talks to much crap about magic and revolution and not enough actual information.

watching the live blogs now, thats the thing that really is annoying me. We know it isn't magic, don't be scared to give us the actual facts, magic is usually used to hide things.

Soooo, video calling is ONLY over WiFi (right now), and ONLY to other iPhones? Lame. I'll probably never use video calling anyway, but at least the Android implementation is open.

Adding a Gyroscope....whoopee.
Screen resolution....pretty nice, but as the previous poster mentioned, not really necessary.
iAds.... uhhhh, is this supposed to be a feature?

Processor should be good, as will battery life. Video and camera should be decent too.

I'm still underwhelmed. Would be a good phone for my wife if it came to Sprint. I'm just not that interested. I prefer being able to customize my phone.

Only thing I am jealous of is the new iPhone shoots 720 video at 30fps and has a 960x640 display but thats about it. My Evo will beat it in pretty much every other category.

Top 8, err... 9 features of Apple iPhone 4 | ZDNet

Exactly. Android is only going to get better and seems like Apple its getting real intimidated by Android even though google said we are a friendly OS haha.
