About 30-40 dollars, can't find a UK seller.

Plantronics backbeat 903's are very good, bass boost makes the sound very nice. Bluetooth which is good too.

hi lekky,

i've read bad reviews on Plantronics backbeat 903, a lot saying "its good only when it's working" and that it does not work after a week or so...
a lot saying that they have returned them for replacement and still got faulty products after. (user reviews on amazon)

I'm also thinking of buying one of these but got scared reading its reviews... yours working fine?

Yep perfect, had mine for well over a month i think (made a thread here to help me decide). No problems at all. If im walking outside in the complete open then it stutters occasionally, but i think this is the same with all BT headsets, nothing for the BT to bounce off. All the controls work well with desire too.

they still sound shit

its all about the Bose... but the phone lacks high volume so in noisy environments you cant get the best sounds regardless

Funny how you say that given my experience that the volume leves etc are fine. GSM Arena also took to doing a thorough test of the Desire audio capabilities which resulted as follows:

GSMArena said:
Great audio output
The HTC Desire pulls off the same remarkable audio quality as the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10, but is louder in terms of earphones volume.
In fact the two frequency response graphs are so similar that we suspect a similar (or maybe identical) hardware has been used inside the two Android flagships. We suspect that HTC have found a way to pump up the volume a bit higher, which has naturally led to the minimal differences you see in the table below.
At any rate the Desire readings are excellent all over, the HTC handset pulling one of the best all-round performances that we have ever seen. Check it out for yourselves.

May just be possible that your Headphones are at conflict with the jack used in the Desire.
