arrg Sprint charged me 700 for 1 evo.

Another good reason to have them charge new phones to your bill vs. your card. Then if/when they screw up, you're not out of pocket or even credit. Plus, you get free credit for a month or so. My bill cycles on the 20th, so I have until July 20th to pay for my phones.

just got a credit call from my bank today, about 2 charges of 350 dollars from sprint =/ on 6/03 and 6/05 totally wiping out my credit limit. Such a bad way to start off my transfer over to sprint.

Yep. I'm showing extra charges also, 3 in total. I bought 2 phones in one transaction. The 6/4 charge (the day I bought them online) matches the receipt I have, but I also have another for $1 on the same day. Then on 6/6 I received another charge for an amount close, but not the same as the amount for 2 phones.

I called Sprint, and they weren't helpful. I don't think the person could even find the 6/6 charge. The conversation ended with the postulation that it's an amount to check available credit. Uh-huh. That would be a first for me seeing that kind of practice.

I'm working with my credit card company to see what else I can find out. It will over course either be removed by sprint or disputed. That's pretty craptacular considering I did the entire transaction electronically (through the website) without any human intervention.

I ordered two EVO's online through Sprint and paid using plastic but my Sprint account is showing a credit balance of over $700 bucks. I checked my plastic and Sprint did run the charges through.

Now, if I get Sprint to send me a refund on that credit balance - I'll use it to pay off the plastic and get free phones?!? If Sprint tries to bill those phones on my Sprint account then they are double charging. I think Sprint goofed. :)

if its under "pending" chances are it probably won't post to the account and just fall off... I have had that happen before as well (not with Sprint) with other things.. if it "posts" to the account then they will be able to see it...

Interesting, in my case the incorrect amount has a posted date, meanwhile the amount matching my receipt is still pending.
