"Good" Battery life settings

That works too, but I was being serious.

If you dont need the GPS, turn it off. If you dont need the WiFi, turn it off. If you arent using Bluetooth, you guessed it, turn it off. I'd leave the data on, because it sort of defeats the purpose of the phone if you have a dataless data centric phone. But again, if you really want to extend the battery life, it'll help to turn it off.

Also be mindful you arent letting apps run as that'll aid in battery drain.

I would guess on would be better for battery life but I have to say, I really disliked it and disabled it. It seemed to be a bit indecisive at times. I set my brightness at about 30% which seems a lot brighter overall than the auto setting. And I can't imagine it hurting my battery life too much. On 100% I couldn't believe how bright it was, it was amazing.

I've found three programs that help me save on battery power....

1. Power manager by xphonesoftware. Allows me to create profile settings based on power levels and triggers such as

If the unit is plugged in turn wifi on or if the unit reaches below a ccertain level turn the following off.....etc.

2. Timeriffic by dave and ralf. This one allows you to create profiles that are run by time and day. I use it primarily to turn airplane mode on and off while I sleep. Airplane mode shuts off voice and data and wifi. Allowing faster recharge.

3 advanced task manager. Allows one to kill tasks. Tasks that utilize system resources.

4. There is a fourth program that uses location to turn on/off profile settings. Although it may not save u battery life.
