is there anyway to change the lock screen to the pattern?

thank you, worked perfectly... im still having trouble with the wallpaper not fitting right tho :/
Yeah, not having a Moto Droid makes it rather difficult to see whats happening exactly with that. I just know that I had read other android devices, like the Hero would pixelate when cropping a section of the image rather than cropping the whole image by widening the crop size all the way out.

I did this tonight and after about 30 minutes went back to the phone to do something and was told the pattern was incorrect. Yeah, maybe I forgot it, after 5 tries (I only had a few patterns in my head, one of them should have been right!) it stated I could sign in with my Google info.

Fine.

Except it said my Google sign in was invalid.

I went to my PC and verified the password I thought was correct was (Firefox remembering may have made me forget as I don't enter it often), but confirmed my login was correct, and active.

I finally had to call Verizon, and after not long got to tech support who tried to help and even offered to contact Motorola (who was closed)....so he walked me through a master reset of the phone.

That was scary, hoping it all came back.....with the exception of it no longer showing my wife in my contacts list (but in my favorites list) and the phone no longer sending voice mail to my GoogleVoice, it seems to have rebooted and reloaded/synced almost flawlessly.

Needless to say, I am not putting this pattern lock back on........at least for a while.

Yup, there is a flaw with the pattern lock and resetting it with your google info. There was a thread here a while back about it. It's aggrivating because I have turned mine off as well!
