Accessories Washing and Reusing a Clarivue Screen Protector

Clarivue claims on its website that the screen protector "can be cleaned with water and used repeatedly."

Has anyone actually tried this? I applied mine a few weeks ago and for some reason there's a tiny air bubble at the corner of the U around the trackpad, even though there's no dust there. I was thinking of reapplying if I can actually wash it and reuse it without a problem. (I don't have 2 since I gave the other to my dad.)

Yes you can, I have multiple times now because I suck at putting them on and am pretty anal about bubbles. Just put some tape on the edge and it should peel off pretty easily. Then warm water on both sides, some people use soap but I would worry about residue. After washing it I pour a little rubbing alcohol on it and shake off the excess.

Wow, good to hear. And the stickiness remains as sticky as it came?

I assume you wait for it to completely dry before reapplying?

It is just as sticky as when I first opened the box after washing it 3 times. I didn't believe it at first either but 2 dust particles in the middle were driving me crazy and I was on the verge of buying a new protector so I figured I would at least try it. I shake most of the alcohol off but applied it with a few droplets still on last time and just squeegeed them out. Probably not the safest way but I didn't want to risk it sitting around collecting lint while it dried.

Also, try it right after a shower when it's all steamy, tends to make dust particles floating through the air less of a problem.
