Too many contacts?

Somehow everybody on my facebook friend list and that has a number and email addy on their profile, I now have in my contact list whether I want it or not.

This happened with me and my Hero and I have no idea how I fixed it back then.

Any ideas???

you can just isolate what contacts to show, ie: i just show my gmail contacts...

when you are under contacts, hit menu and you'll see options.

Vice-Versa..How do you sync facebook contacts with your contacts. So maybe get their facebook profile picture as the contact profile picture?

No matter what I do and try, facebook names/numbers/emails still appear. Any other suggestions?

If you are syncing with Google contacts, try deleting the contacts that are not part of "my contacts." Log onto your contacts from your computer and click on the contacts button on the left side. That list will clutter your "people" on your phone.

in people click menu, then view. then just unclick facebook contacts.

This will remove all email and facebook contacts, but leave everything you've manually entered such as phone numbers and email addresses associated with phone numbers.

I actually like having all contact info in one list but the one annoying thing I noticed is that birthdays on Facebook pulled down to my contacts and then were synced up to Google Calendar. Now I have dupes for all of these birthdays in my Sense calendar. Not sure how I can hide them since I want my GCal and FB events to show up...just not double birthdays.

The only problem I am having with contacts is that I can't override the facebook picture with my own. Even after I set my own picture, the facebook one is that one that shows. Also, when the pictures shows for incoming calls it's completely blurry (this is an issue they are working on, but for now the pictures look really bad imo--would almost rather have no picture at all).

Have you tried disabling Facebook on the Calendar? Would that eliminate one set of those birthdays?

I mean, it'll probably delete all your FB events if you care about that too though.

YIKES!!! I deleted the people I wanted to keep, and still have the 795 facebook people! What did I do wrong? How can I get rid of all these people and just have my "wanted" people?

You can uncheck facebook contacts in the sync settings.

If you are speaking about Accounts & Sync --> Facebook FOR HTC Sense... this is not checked.

Is there another way to get rid of syncing my FB with my regular contacts?
