rename a folder

When I create the folder it is on the home screen - wallpaper, not the full list of apps. How do I get it to the full list of apps so I can drag apps into the folder?

It sounds like you want to put a folder into the App Drawer / Launcher (that gets pulled up from the bottom of the screen). It's not possible the the built in Launcher but certain home/launcher replacements have this feature. I've used 'Advanced Launcher' from the Market to do this. I doubt if it's compatible with 2.0 right now. One nice thing about Advanced Launcher is that you could put an app in a folder or on the home screen, and then hide it from the full list of apps.

I use the app called 'Apps Organize' for this. It allows you to assign apps to different (even multiple) categories / folders and you can change the icons as well. I like it a little bit better than the built in folders.

very cool....but how do you get the individual folders on your home screen?

figured it out....super cool...a must have in my book! thanks

Glad you figured it out. For anyone else that needs this info: long press on the home screen, from the 'add to home screen' menu, select Shortcuts, then choose Apps Organizer, then the category/folder.
