So gotta say I just looked at the Iphone 4 and gotta say I love it. I love it because it offers absolutely NO competition to the Evo. They are saying it may not even have a 1 ghz processor.

That being said; anyone know how many people are still looking for the Evo? Did Sprint actuallysell out??

the only thing that i like better is the battery life, because we all know of the evo's issues of battery. um...other than that, there's absolutely nothing the iphone has over evo

I can live with the battery life on the Evo- just wish I got as good as my wifes her phone last like 4 hours longer than mine.

Just gotta say it for those who missed it I LOVE MY EVO- need help naming her now.

I agree, battery life. And the camera is prob better on the iPhone as well as video capture. Other then that android kicks the crap out of the new 4th iPhone

The EVOS camera is better- 8mp vs 5mp 2led flash vs 1led flash
Video- Iphone is better 720p 25 frames per sec on evo 720p 30 fps

The iPhone 4 has a better screen, though smaller, a better battery, and more developed apps. Other than that and possibly a better video chat client (Qik crapped the bed), the iPhone 4 was completely underwhelming.

That screen is overstated. Due to the size and the resolution it is just wasted pixels as the human eye cant see it. The better battery is because the phone isnt near as capable

If iPhone were on another carrier, I'd buy it. Had iPhone for 3 years. I'm on Evo and am pretty happy, pretty impressed — but there's a polish the iPhone has that nothing on the market can replicate. iPhone 4 looks even more polished than 3Gs, but AT&T is the deal breaker. iPhone fit me well, and I'm working and reading this forum a ton to get Evo to fit me too.

Which camera makes the better pictures? A $200 Sony point&shoot with 10MP, or my Nikon D70S with 6.1MP? Answer = Nikon.

Point being

The iphone is nice. With a master snake oil salesman leading the charge, you would think its the most amazing thing ever. Its a marginal update. I expected more. Unfortunately, I dont care how good it is, as long as its tied to AT&T, I will never get it.

I love my EVO. I'm sure millions of lemmings will get the iPhone. I'll stick with my EVO.....as someone said earlier, the only advantage is the battery life....

The only way to be 100% sure on the camera front is to compare two pics taken at the same time of the same thing - one from each phone. Until then this is just a silly debate :)

I do hope the iPhone camera is at least on par with the EVO. My EVO had a little trouble with lower-lighting conditions if i didn't manually adjust the ISO, but it was still very good.

During the conference, the iPhone4's pictures looked amazing .... BUT, upon further inspection and looking at them in truelife, real size, they are on par with the Evo's imo.

iPhone 4 camera samples - Engadget Galleries

When I look at those photos they look like they have lighting added which changes the whole dynamic of the photo.

I'm not a professional photographer; just IMO

You have to hand it to Apple, they build some beautiful hardware. Now if only HTC could get to building phones with similar attention to detail. I love Sprint, and Love my EVO, but I must say that I would much prefer to have an EVO that is 9.3 mm thick made of two pieces of glass and stainless steel than the plastic that I have now.
