Hi all! I just got the new motorola droid phone from Verizon today and I managed to mess up some of my settings already...whoops!

Sound only comes through the ear piece and not the speaker on the back of the phone. When the phone rings I can barely hear it despite the ring tone volume being all the way up. The phone is not in silent mode or airplane mode, ring tone and notification sounds are turned all the way up... does anyone know how to get the sound through the speaker on the back of the phone and not the earpiece on the front of the phone?

Many thanks!

Hmmm that is a odd problem. I will see if I can duplicate it then give you a answer. If all else fails you can do a "wipe/hard reset" and bring it back to stock.

Excellent! I appreciate any advice. If I need to do a hard reset I will, just hoping not to since I am so new to the phone and have NO idea what I am doing. It is all trial and error and reading this forum for tips!

While I am here I think I will ask one more question... although saying I'm gonna ask one more question is like saying I am only going to eat one of the reeses peanutbutter cups in a 2 cup package. I am sure as I play with this phone more and more I will have more questions.

I am getting my AOL email to the phone (a push every 15 minutes or something like that) but when I log on to aol.com from my home PC none of my emails are there. Once they go to my phone they are removed from my inbox online.

Is there a way to have my email on both the phone and aol.com through my home PC?

I don't know, but I have an idea. I don't have aol email... I use Gmail and it has a setting somewhere (on the web, not the phone) for what to do when email is accessed via IMAP or POP3. I am guessing that aol is similar. There is probably a setting somewhere that is deleting the emails when they are accessed by your phone.

I couldn't find anything on the account settings within the phone so I will take your advice and poke around on aol.com and see what I can come up with.

Thank you!

I've got this twice now. A reboot fixes it. Last time I think it had something to do with receiving a call and muting it with the volume button. But i can't be sure. Very weird.

I also have another issue. With music playing and the screen locked, the sweep left "sound off" doesn't mute the music. Is this supposed to?
