Post pictures you've taken with the camera

Great thread guys. This thread really helped me experiment with the camera and apps out there. I've come to the conclusion that while my fave camera app so far is Vignette (over Camera Zoom FX, etc), I still go back to the default camera for just taking raw, quality photos. I like the control it affords me over the actual camera settings. In terms of what I've had the most success with, I have the sharpness turned down a little (digital cameras, especially at high MP tend to exaggerate small details) and auto-focus is turned off. Being able to choose where exactly I want my photos to focus on has cut down on the time between the camera's auto-focus to my own chosen focal point - which in turn minimizes the minute movements of my hand which can really be detrimental to photo quality on such a small device.

I still use Vignette if I want to take a quick shot and add a filter or import a picture taken with the default camera to apply a filter/adjustment on it. If you're interested in my personal experiences on Vignette, I have a thread asking about the best camera app where I've experimented with it.

I've recently uploaded some of my test photos with the default camera and various apps (Vignette, FxCamera, Camera Zoom Fx). I posted my findings in the thread I created, but I thought I'd like to share the photos/results with anyone here who might have missed em.

Here is a Vignette photo of my friend using a Porta filter. I like Vignette because the filters are not overly done and kitsch

Here is one of my friend using FX Camera - just in general, you can notice much lower resolution.. even on the border of the effects. It's not just the filter, pretty much every photo came out kind of like this... which is fine for just phone viewing, but not so much on the computer:

Even at pitch black, using just the flash to take a pic of my GF, Vignette came out less pixelated (though there's still noticeable noise due to lack of light). I wish I had exact photos to make comparisons, but I tested all these shots casually every chance I got:

FXCamera however, does have these fun filters.. unfortunately, even with this pic of another friend, you can see the pixelization:

Summary of summary: I like the default camera for taking actual pics due to having more manual control of settings. I like Vignette for importing photos and applying various filters. It's also great for on the fly shooting and coming out with some decent pictures that otherwise might have come out bad due to poor lighting or the subject just not having a great picture day (blemishes, no make up, etc).
