amazon also has extended batteries made for the evo. i was running my evo with the 1800 battery i had for my hero and it drains faster then the stock evo battery. with the stock battery i can still do my average to mid use and have more battery life at the end of the day. i think it is the tech in the new battery, i got system panel app and there is a difference in the voltage output. im going to get this one later.

Really? I have the Mugen 1800 battery and get 10-12 hours with moderate use. So you are saying I should be able to get 12-15 or so with the stock battery? I seriously doubt that but I will test it just to see. Have never used the stock battery.

I bought it with a contract using wirefly, which cost me 119 bucks, so you'd want someone to spend almost 50% of the cost or forfeit the right to complain?

You may or may not get better battery. The problem is that these battery claims aren't justifiable. There are not standards to test battery capacity so people create their own, as shown in the link above.

I'll wait to see when the 1750mAh is tested and if it proves to have more juice somebody will get my money otherwise it's just a gamble

I've linked you to documented tests that were run on the batteries. You be the judge. "Actual usage" is VERY subjective. There really is no way to compare as there are way too many factors to affect it however testing of battery capacity under controlled conditions equal for each battery should be accurate (at least relative to each other).

Hey I know things are "all in fun" on these forums, but it's becoming obvious that the battery issue isn't just a perception. There is mounting evidence that hard-resetting the phone has a dramatic (positive) impact on battery longevity. People aren't whining about the battery for no reason--some Evo owners are experiencing real problems. Buying spare batteries is not a viable answer for those folks.

I'm not directing this at the OP or anybody on this thread, but people on this (and other forums) who ridicule and belittle people for complaining about the battery are being pretty uncool. If you personally aren't having battery issues then good for you, but those folks might entertain the idea that there is a problem with some handsets.

True. I am now testing my 1800 running a live wallpaper. After 3hrs and 41mins off the charger, I am at 76%. Use has been a few quick calls and some texting. 4G,Wifi,GPS and BT are all off. I do have my Friendstream and weather updating though.

Not all of us paid $450.

I paid $200 so $70 is hard to justify considering it is about 1/3 of the price of the phone. And who said he couldn't afford it?

Who said its $70? Thats for a 3500mah. You can get the 1750-2000mah batteries for as cheap as $15 on ebay.

Won't waste my money. IF (big IF) the 1750 was REALLY 15% "more powerful" than the stock 1500 for the little (15%) difference and 15% additional uptime I would rather carry another cheap Chinese knock-off $5 eBay 1500 (OEM size) battery in my pocket which, even if if it was only rated at HALF of the 1500 it would give me a LOT more usable time then spending 8X that on a "allegedly extended" 1750 battery which (if it REALLY is 1750) would only give me 15% more use. Besides that, I have a charger in my car, a charger in my house and a charger in my office. I'd never get one of those 3500 batteries because the phone is big enough as it is and I don't need to carry a brick around with me.
