Sharing contacts via Barcode Scanner

Mine works perfectly, shrug.

So far whenever I've wanted to exchange contact data with a person, they always just want one of us to call or text the other.

Kinda annoying, really. Inevitably a couple days later it's always the same story,

"I would have emailed you but I could not get your address since I was not home!"

The way I'm normally using it, from the Phone app I go into the contact that I want to share and then select "Show barcode" from the menu. This gets me a white screen with a big QR code and its info in plain text underneath it.

I just tried to go into Barcode Scanner and select "Share" from the menu, then click "Contact". I then get a listing much like the one in the Phone app, but without icons -- that is, each contact shows the name in big type and the primary phone number underneath it in small type. Clicking a contact takes me to the same screen as above (but in portrait mode).

This is using a Samsung Galaxy running Android v1.6 in the form of Galaxo v1.6.3.2. with no branding.

Is this not how it's working for you? What OS/version/branding are you using?
