Google Nav Shutting off while Navigating!

Here are the complete scenarios:

I route a place, Google Nav turn by turn is going, I have the default music player on. All going thru my stereo bluetooth in the car. Between 10-20 min in, the music pauses and the nav app closes at the same time, WTF? All while I'm driving which can be dangerous.

I try another music player, Mixzing. Same thing.

I try Pandora. Same thing.

I turn music off, I navigate all the way home with no turn off.

I need to find a way to get Google to see this so I hope I can find a place to contact them and copy/paste this, but I am wondering if others can check to see if they have this problem.

Alot of the features require not just a net conenction but a 3g connection. I have a number of apps that if 3g is lost they stop all together. Even if the normal network is there.

So if your driving and you get to a low signal area and 3g is lost..that may be one of the reasons.

Hi, thanks for responding! I would be surprised if that were the case for Google Maps; they didn't tout turn by turn as something that requires 3G. Also, the music players with the exception of Pandora were running local and not using the net at all.

However, it's def a scenario I will add to my list as I try to narrow this down. Thanks!!!

Yes they did.

They've always said it requires a 3G connection. What they didn't ever say is what % of it is cached vs needing the live connection. Anytime it "course corrects" it will definitely need the connection.
