My son gave me a Droid Eris for my birthday in May and while it is a great device for email and to play with, I am not happy with it as a phone or as a navigation device.
The lack of hands free dialing on Bluetooth to me is an irresponsible omission and if the phone was not given to me for free I would immediately return it. Hasn't anyone at Google ever heard about hands free telephone use? I was able to download a better voice dialer which at least doesn't require me to confirm each entry on the touchscreen, but not being able to initiate the call from the bluetooth device and its microphone is plain stupid!
Right now I am trying to get Google Navigator to issue directions through any of my bluetooth devices, but again it looks like the programmers left that out also. I had been using VZ Navigator on my previous Motorola W755 and that was a far richer and easier to use program.
