WooHoo! GIF files in Froyo 2.2!

If I missed a thread or post regarding GIF files in 2.2, please delete or merge this post.

I thought this was important enough to share with the group. I've read several times over the past months how lame it was that the DROID didn't support GIFs. Well, they work now. I just realized it when I was surfing this site and saw my signature moving. KEWL!

Nice...supported in Cyanogenmod 2.1 ROM as well, for those who haven't Froyo'd yet.

Hmm. I guess I'm gonna stop using Dolphin Browser now. GIFs don't seem to work on it and flash makes it pretty glitchy and laggy. Anyone else experienced this with Dolphin browser? I really like it for tabbed browsing though :-/.

I use Dolphin HD, no problems here.

Just the browser. But GIF files typically always require a browser.

I would venture to guess since Messenger said they only worked in browser, that no, they would not work as wallpaper
