hey guys 64bit windows help

I know I am a cdma hero user but maybe some of you experienced android users can help me, I am running win7 64 bit and when in cmd I cannot get past adb devices.

I have everything DLed and all set to where they need to be. Is this a problem from 64 bit O/S?
open your device manager, start, right click computer, click manage. you should see it in there, rlight click on it, goto driver tab, update driver, and point it to the vista 64 folder where you put the drivers.

if it doesn't show up in device manager, connect your hero to your PC and then do HTC sync from the hero's notification menu. it should attempt to look for htc sync on your computer and fail, giving you a message on the computer that the drivers failed to install, thats when you want to goto device manger.

What are you trying to do? I have the latest SDK installed here on Win7 x64 and adb devices returns the expected output i.e. my device serial number.

Just trying to get root my cdma hero on win7 64, I followed the instruction from xda to the T, and when in cmd when doing adb devices i get an error that daemon can not connect. i know I did it right when I rooted my hero on my girls laptop (32bit) The drivers has to be what is holding this up
