Motorola Droid 2 - ugly

Does anyone else think that the Droid 2 is pretty god awful ugly?! That curved bottom by the menu keys is terrible. When the first droid and now the new iphone are going more "industrial" in look, we get a droid that has this fakey curved look? I hate it. (Love my Droid by the way, no Apple fan boy here).

Hopefully the final product won't come out like that. I love the Droid's aesthetics as well and I don't want to see them do something "sleek" because I think that frankly, sleek looks stupid.

Firstly, you can just turn blur off. No biggie.
Secondly, I agree. It looks awful. The chrome and other design elements make it look silly and cheap.

I'm in love with the Droid X. I like the physical home buttons, and the larger screen. I find after having my Droid that I don't really need a physical keyboard, so I'm definitely upgrading when it comes out. I can't see why anyone would get the Droid 2 if they already have the Droid, especially since no one can be ready to upgrade since the original hasn't been out that long.

at least they got rid of the square directional pad. that is my only real complaint with the Droid. The keys could have been bigger without it.

It's hard to say but it looks as if the metal around the screen is chrome.

Good to see their sticking with the keyboard design. This is going to be a big thin phone. Battery life will be interesting.

Well one things for sure, this isn't a Droid2. The Droid had relatively competitive specs. This one is behind on almost everything. For the record I thought the first one was ugly, but the specs convinced me. I decided that physical keyboards are a waste, so no more Droids for me.

The Droid went from cutting edge to middle player. Unfortunate. I guess slates are the next big thing.

I agree, The Droid2 isn't much in terms of an upgrade to our Droids. There is the Droid X (shadow or whatever other "codenames" it has or will have) coming in July (supposedly)

But what's up with the big lip on the back towards the top of the phone (at the bottom in relation to the image below)? Not diggin that at all

Oh well, I have a great device that has served me well for 7 months now and is as fast as anything currently on the market...now if I can only find an app that increases my screen size, I'd be happy!

About the only thing i really like on it is the raised keys on the new keypad. The specs are already outdated before it even comes out. I'd be interested to see with the new droid x looks like, though.

It basically looks like the droid now with a not as rugged look.. the chrome does make it look bad though but design wise I would still stick with my droid

I think you guys need to wait for MUCH better photos of it. That is a very bad photo of the device, especially with the big flash.
